Christian Siriano Discusses His New Book and His Handy Sewing Kit

Christian Siriano has created numerous iconic red carpet moments, cementing his place in celebrity fashion. With the launch of his new anthology, "Christian Siriano: The New Red Carpet," he shares previously untold stories reflecting his journey as a fashion visionary.

"It’s called ‘The New Red Carpet’ because I envision what the new red carpet should be," he explained at his launch event. "It should showcase diverse individuals. Everyone deserves to be celebrated on the red carpet." Siriano hopes younger generations view his work as inspiration for their futures.

Stars joined the celebration at Soho’s The Mulberry, emphasizing his vision. Laverne Cox, Laura Linney, Rosie Perez, and Coco Rocha, who all appear in the book, were present at the event. Cox notably matched her sparkling gold coat to the book’s cover, striking several poses alongside Siriano.

"I’ve experienced many instances when a zipper breaks or something goes wrong," he stated. "I prefer to fix it right there. You never know!"

Though a pivotal figure in Hollywood, Siriano remained hesitant to name a favorite look from his book, organized from A to Z. "It’s such a wonderful mix — from my first dress for Cardi B to my initial outfit for Ariana Grande," he shared. "Each has a unique story, making this journey enjoyable."
