Jennifer revealed her father's passing on April 1. She noted that he "passed peacefully" at 85, surrounded by family. Jennifer also mourned her father's death, describing him as a "kind and brilliant man." She reflected on the experiences she cherished, sharing, "We were with him, singing Amazing Grace as he left us." Facing grief, she emphasized the importance of gratitude during times of loss.
The actress posted childhood photos alongside her dad and family moments with her parents and sisters Melissa and Susannah.
In her tribute, she expressed gratitude for her father's "gentle demeanor and quiet strength." She acknowledged the medical teams from Charleston Area Medical Center and City of Hope for their care and support.
