Jonathan Majors' Ex-Girlfriend Grace Jabbari Drops Assault and Defamation Lawsuit Against Actor
Grace Jabbari has decided to withdraw her assault and defamation lawsuit against Jonathan Majors. Court records indicate Jabbari filed a stipulation of dismissal with prejudice on November 21, PEOPLE reported.
Both parties, through their attorneys, have agreed that "all claims against Defendant in the above-captioned action are hereby dismissed with prejudice." On November 22, Jabbari's attorney, Brad Edwards, stated that the resolution allows Grace "to move forward and begin to heal."
The lawsuit began in March when Jabbari accused Majors of repeated domestic abuse from 2021 to 2023. She alleged he assaulted her in September 2022, describing an incident where he pushed her against her car, took her inside, and assaulted her while choking her.
Jabbari described how after this incident, Majors texted her and urged her not to disclose what happened. Majors reportedly prioritized his career over the physical injuries he caused her, displaying concern about a possible investigation.
After a jury verdict in December 2023, Majors faced misdemeanor assault charges and harassment accusations stemming from a March 2023 incident involving Jabbari. He was found guilty of certain charges but acquitted of others.
In her lawsuit, Jabbari stated she was defamed following Majors’ conviction. Specifically, she pressed claims regarding an interview in which Majors asserted she was lying about the abuse, denying he had ever harmed a woman.
