Mariah Carey's Twins Steal the Show at L.A. Christmas Concert
Mariah Carey's Los Angeles Christmas concert at the Hollywood Bowl showcased a special performance by her twins, Moroccan and Monroe, on November 8. The superstar wowed audiences not only with her stellar performance but also with her candid interactions, even helping staff with mopping in between acts, PEOPLE reported.
The event featured an intermission where the audience witnessed Carey's children seamlessly taking the stage. Moroccan, on drums, and Monroe, singing and dancing, proved they were natural in the spotlight. With a Christmas-red-themed costume and backup dancers, they treated fans to a medley of "Let It Snow" and "Deck the Halls," followed by The Waitresses' "Christmas Wrapping," supported by additional dancers and singers.
Before beginning the show, Carey, 55, playfully encouraged her children to take over while she retreated backstage. "You know I always need an escort," she quipped, leaving the crowd in anticipation.
Toward the end of their segment, the twins shared humorous and sweet Christmas wish lists with the audience. Monroe yearned for elegant couture pieces, while Moroccan humorously referenced luxury cars they couldn't yet use, affirming their lineage with wit.
Mariah, who had her children with ex-husband Nick Cannon in 2011, has always aimed to raise them in a loving environment, as highlighted in past reflections with PEOPLE. Her happiness about seeing them grow into compassionate people emphasizes her joy in both her family life and career.
