Princess Beatrice, currently expecting her second child, recently filled in for King Charles III at an event for The King’s Foundation. The Princess, 36, attended the Future Textiles exhibition in London on November 12, engaging with both executives of the foundation and students while embodying a relaxed style in a black dress accompanied by a trench coat, US Weekly reported. Notably, this marks her first endeavor with the foundation, as noted by Hello! Magazine.

Though King Charles himself, aged 75, was absent, his influence was omnipresent, especially since founding the Future Textiles initiative nearly a decade ago as part of a movement to bridge the skills gap within the UK’s fashion and textiles industry. This event is an element of the larger framework established by The King's Foundation, created in 1990.

Previously, Beatrice has acted on behalf of higher-ranking royals during health-related absences, including when both King Charles and Princess Kate Middleton faced cancer diagnoses. Speculation about her taking on a formal position with royal duties emerged earlier in the year, a fact confirmed by Us Weekly in May. She holds her position as the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
