Tyler Hynes' Unforgettable Encounter with the Kansas City Chiefs While Filming Hallmark's 'The Groomsmen'
Hallmark actor Tyler Hynes shares an unexpected collaboration between sports and film. After wrapping up "The Groomsmen" overseas, he found himself at his inaugural Kansas City Chiefs game, US Weekly reported. Remarkably, during this event, Chiefs player Mecole Hardman Jr. aided Hynes with a sprained thumb, initially injured on "The Groomsmen" set and re-sprained amid filming "Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story" with Hunter King at Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium. This chance meeting with Hardman not only remedied his injury but also sparked an unexpected connection.
Meanwhile, his "Groomsmen" costar, B.J. Britt, suffered an on-set pain, reportedly injuring his groin in a particularly intense scene involving a runaway taxi. Jonathan Bennett, another costar, noted Britt's determination to push through the injury and finish filming multiple takes. This illustrates the strong camaraderie among the cast as they tackle hurdles during production.
Hynes, alongside Bennett, produced "The Groomsmen" trilogy, which explores unique and diverse stories of love. Their creative vision was to open the narrative to various perspectives beyond their own. The trilogy showcases distinct romantic journeys: Pete’s narrative in "First Look," Danny's wedding adventure in "Second Chances," and Jackson's quest for lasting love in "The Last Dance." The films, deeply embedded in Hallmark traditions, uniquely emphasize understated, genuine love stories, akin to everyday experiences audiences relate to and cherish.
