Originally from New Jersey, with stints in New York and Hollywood, Larter saw herself as a city person. Yet, rural life revealed a previously unknown option for her family. Reflecting on times when they felt bound to Los Angeles for career reasons, she admits they couldn't just up and live anywhere. However, Idaho pleasantly allowed her to continue acting while settling down.

In her professional life, Larter recently fought through a challenging audition process to secure a role in Taylor Sheridan's "Landman," premiering November 17 on Paramount+. She plays Angela, a dynamic character urged by Sheridan's creative adjustments, alongside a star-studded cast, including Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, and Jon Hamm. Embracing the complexity of her role, Larter describes her character as a "firecracker" and "emotional tornado," eager to bring Angela to life on screen.
