Candace Cameron Bure Talks About Dave Coulier's Positive Attitude Amid Cancer Diagnosis
Candace Cameron Bure recently shared insights into how her Full House co-star, Dave Coulier, is bravely facing his battle with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma, US Weekly reported. Cameron Bure highlighted Coulier’s remarkable "positive outlook," noting, "Laughter really is the best medicine for Dave, and we’re all supporting him by laughing along." Having worked together on Full House since childhood, Cameron Bure has developed a strong appreciation for the healing power of laughter, even in trying times.
Coulier shared his initial shock at the diagnosis with People, revealing that what started as a minor head cold turned into the discovery of his aggressive cancer. However, there was relief in learning his cancer hadn't spread to his bone marrow, granting a 90% chance of curability. He promptly informed his former castmates to prevent them from hearing through the media, admitting that their outpouring of support was overwhelming.
This strength in camaraderie stems from a lasting bond formed during the airing of Full House from 1987 to 1995 and rekindled through the success of its revival, Fuller House, in 2016. The recent death of their fellow co-star Bob Saget, who passed at age 65, further reinforced their strong emotional ties.
In addition to standing by Coulier, Cameron Bure is focused on lifting spirits through her involvement with the Great American Family’s Christmas festival. Her upcoming holiday films, A Christmas Less Traveled and Home Sweet Christmas were promoted at the event in New York, featuring immersive experiences for families, such as festive craft workshops, photo ops with Santa, and ice skating. Cameron Bure relishes bringing people joy through this seasonal celebration, underscoring the importance of sticking together like a family, the very concept she has learned to cherish through her experiences on and off-screen.
