Candiace Dillard Bassett and Chris Expect a Baby Boy
Candiace Dillard Bassett, a former star of "The Real Housewives of Potomac," is excited about her impending arrival. In a recent exclusive with Us Weekly, she and her husband, Chris Bassett, shared that they are expecting a baby boy. At 37 years old, Dillard expresses her intuition about a "masculine energy" within her. "I just couldn’t deny the feeling of a sweet little boy growing inside of me," she stated.
Dillard Bassett is enjoying the joys of preparing for her son's nursery, which is whimsically inspired by *Alice in Wonderland*. She describes this experience as "the most magical and indescribable." As she welcomes her pregnancy, she admits, "I think I’m actually going to miss it." However, her excitement grows as she eagerly anticipates meeting him. "I can’t wait to meet him and stare at him all day!"
Like many pregnant women, Dillard Bassett gives in to her cravings. "Olive Garden spaghetti with meat sauce, Apple Jacks cereal, and watermelon have been the top contenders," she revealed. Along with these favorites, she shared her desire for smash burgers during various phases of her pregnancy, calling it a "great time."
After chronicling her IVF journey on "RHOP," she revealed her pregnancy news in April. Dillard Bassett confessed to worrying about being ready for motherhood. "I kind of woke up and realized I was never going to be 100 percent ready," she shared with "Entertainment Tonight". Instead, she decided to "trust the process and trust my doctors."
Candiace married Chris Bassett in 2018, who has three children from a prior relationship. Dillard Bassett's pregnancy announcement arrived shortly after she departed from "RHOP," where she spent six seasons. "I am filled with gratitude for the enriching friendships, personal growth, and moments of introspection that have defined this journey," she said in a March statement to PEOPLE. Dillard highlighted that this is not a goodbye but a "see you later."
