Halsey Confirms Engagement to Avan Jogia
It seems Halsey and Avan Jogia have taken their relationship to the next level, confirming their engagement following the 2024 VMAs, US Weekly reported. The "Lucky" singer, 29, clarified a social media post that mistakenly referenced Jogia as her "boyfriend," stating instead, "***fiancé Avan Jogia."
During a pre-show red carpet interview with E! News, Halsey expressed her admiration for the Victorious actor, calling him one of the best things that ever happened to her. "Every day I spend with him feels like I’m with my best friend," she shared. Asked if marriage was on the horizon, Halsey replied, "I hope so!", setting the stage for the eventual engagement confirmation.
Adding to the delight, Halsey also highlighted the close bond between Jogia and her 3-year-old son Ender, from her previous relationship with Alev Aydin. Describing them as "inseparable," she beamed about their cherished connection.
Their romance first became public in September 2023 and was affirmed on Instagram by October of that year. Before the VMAs, the couple enjoyed a dinner date at Carbone in New York City on September 6, 2024.
Halsey’s personal life includes a challenging health journey. Diagnosed with lupus and a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder in 2022, she shared how these conditions, now managed or in remission, continue to impact her life. Despite the struggles, Halsey expressed profound gratitude for the medical support she’s received and for turning to music during tough times.
At the VMAs, she performed her latest single "Ego," a track set to feature in her forthcoming fifth studio album, The Great Impersonator, slated for an October release. Reflecting on her recovery, Halsey’s new song "The End" explores themes inspired by her health battles, resonating deeply with supporters.
