Jennifer Garner Stuck in Lift for Over an Hour at First Comic Con
Jennifer Garner shared a video on Instagram of her getting stuck in an elevator for more than an hour while attending her first San Diego Comic Con. The 52-year-old actress recently appeared as Elektra Natchios, a martial arts trained assassin, in a cameo for Deadpool & Wolverine. This is prepared by SSP.
Ordeal Documented
Throughout multiple videos, Garner detailed her ordeal with humor. At just two minutes in, she expressed a need for help, jokingly mentioning Wolverine and Deadpool for assistance, and noted, "Thanks for having us here. My first Comic Con. Bye for now."
At the eleventh minute, as the elevator remained cramped, she began feeling "toasty" and "shvitzing" (sweating). By the forty-five-minute mark, Garner started singing the children’s song "99 Bottles of Beer" to keep spirits high. Reaching one hour, she quietly sang Madonna's "Like A Prayer", which features in the Deadpool & Wolverine soundtrack.
Rescue and Aftermath
Still smiling, she captured the moment firefighters rescued her after an hour and twelve minutes. The exact timing of the footage is unclear, but it coincided with Garner attending a Comic Con panel for Deadpool & Wolverine earlier in the week.
Celebrating Elektra
Garner's return to Elektra roots, using the Okinawan sai weapon, comes more than twenty years after she first played the character in the 2003 film Daredevil alongside then-husband Ben Affleck. She revisited the role in Elektra in 2005, though the film did not fare well with critics.
Additional Cameos
The Deadpool & Wolverine movie, aside from stars Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) and Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), includes cameos by Wesley Snipes as Blade and Chris Evans as Captain America, promising an exciting nostalgic return for many Marvel fans.
