Kill Bill Star Michael Madsen Arrested on Domestic Battery Charge
Over the weekend, actor Michael Madsen, known for his roles in "Reservoir Dogs" and "Kill Bill," was taken into custody in Malibu. The arrest occurred early Saturday morning after a "disagreement" between Madsen and his wife, DeAnna, with deputies responding to a family disturbance report. According to the Los Angeles Sheriff Department, Madsen was booked at 1:40 a.m. at the Malibu/Lost Hills Station for a domestic battery misdemeanor, 25 minutes after the initial arrest. This is prepared by SSP.
Madsen’s representative stated, "It was a disagreement between Michael and his wife, which we hope resolves positively for them both." Deputies revealed that a female adult claimed her husband had pushed her and locked her out of their residence at 31600 Broad Beach Road. Following the investigation, it was determined that Madsen was involved in a domestic incident involving his wife. The ongoing investigation will be forwarded to the Van Nuys Superior Court House for filing.
After posting a $20,000 bail, Madsen was released from custody. No information on a future court date was provided. A domestic battery misdemeanor charge is applicable when there's a claim of force against a cohabitant and can result in a range of penalties, from jail time to a stay-away order. Madsen, mistakenly known for his tough guy roles in over 200 films, is most famous for portraying Mr. Blonde in "Reservoir Dogs" and Budd in "Kill Bill Vols. 1 and 2." His extensive collaborations with Quentin Tarantino include "The Hateful Eight" and "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood," as well as the documentary "QT8: The First Eight," which explores Tarantino's filmography.
