Zellweger, now 55, stunned in a striking black lace, one-shoulder column gown with a long sleeve. This outfit echoed her 2001 look: a sleek black cocktail dress with sheer panels, paired with black pointed heels and berry lipstick. Grant, 64, donned a classic ensemble featuring a black jacket, pants, and shiny shoes, complemented by a relaxed white button-down. This outfit reflected his style from the first film's premiere nearly 24 years ago.
The pair posed for photos alongside their co-stars Leo Woodall and Chiwetel Ejiofor, along with director Michael Morris and screenwriter Helen Fielding. Fielding’s 1996 novel "Bridget Jones’s Diary" inspired the beloved film series centered around Zellweger’s enchanting character.
Earlier this year, Zellweger opened up about her six-year hiatus from acting. In a discussion with Grant, she noted, "I was sick of the sound of my own voice." She reflected on how her emotional range felt repetitive while she acted. In 2010, she took a break from the screen, returning only in 2016.
During her time off, Zellweger engaged in various pursuits: "I wrote music and studied international law," she shared. She also built a house, rescued two older dogs, and founded a production company. Additionally, she spent quality time with family and friends, ultimately achieving better health during her break.

"I entirely lost faith that I could do anything else," he admitted on the "Smartless" podcast last November. Upon reflection, he expressed a newer understanding, saying, "maybe I was wrong."
The actor takes pride in his romantic comedies, including "Notting Hill" and "Four Weddings and a Funeral." He remarked, "It’s nice to have made movies that actually entertain people," emphasizing the effort involved in film-making. He suggested that some of his works exceed the expectations of skeptics.
