Snoop Dogg Supports Martha Stewart Amid Ina Garten Dispute

Snoop Dogg recently defended Martha Stewart regarding claims from Ina Garten, which were discussed on "Watch What Happens Live" on October 20th. Andy Cohen asked Stewart if she had read Garten's memoir, "Be Ready When the Luck Happens." Stewart, who had only perused parts of the book, was questioned about her opinion. Her response was straightforward: "She can write whatever she wants," US Weekly reported.

The revelation arose while Stewart appeared as a bartender on the show during Snoop Dogg’s 53rd birthday celebration. When Cohen mentioned Garten's claim that their friendship weakened after she moved to Connecticut, both Stewart and Snoop dismissed this. Stewart clarified that tensions started after she served jail time, explaining her belief that Garten deliberately cut off communication, a stance she reiterated in a prior The New Yorker interview. Snoop humorously remarked that he stepped into Stewart's life just when she needed a friend.

Stewart faced legal troubles in 2004, resulting in a five-month sentence, but has always professed her innocence. Although their friendship was previously seen as integral to Garten's career, questions linger about its status after the prison incident. Garten, however, has denied any feud, and according to Stewart's publicist, there are no lingering tensions.

Notably, Stewart played a significant role in mentoring Garten. Recalling their beginnings in East Hampton, Garten credited Stewart for enhancing the prestige of home arts in a 2017 discussion. Despite challenges, Garten expressed admiration for Stewart’s pioneering work in the culinary field.
