Bizarre vehicle resembling UFO stopped by police in Oklahoma and Missouri
A peculiar incident unfolded when an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper encountered an unconventional vehicle resembling a UFO during a routine traffic stop on the highway.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), Trooper Ryan Vanvleck noticed the distinct UFO-like vehicle on the Turner Turnpike and pulled it over due to a obscured tag on the vehicle. The two individuals in the vehicle explained that they were headed to the annual UFO Festival in Roswell, New Mexico.
Rather than issuing a citation, Trooper Vanvleck opted to give the driver and passenger a warning and allowed them to proceed on their journey after taking a few snapshots together.
The OHP's social media post humorously noted, "Encountering a UFO during a traffic stop is definitely not an everyday occurrence."
Interestingly, the same vehicle had been stopped a few days earlier by a Crawford County Sheriff's Office deputy in Missouri. The driver received a warning due to the vehicle's out-of-state registration, with the sheriff's office playfully cautioning the driver about the enforcement of "warp speed" on the interstate and advising them to keep their "phasers on stun only while traveling."
This unique encounter reminds us that unexpected events can sometimes unfold on our roadways, adding an element of curiosity and humor to the lives of these law enforcement officers.
