Living the Caravan Dream: From a Concrete House to Serenity in Nature

Seasonally, he incurs minimal electricity costs—£20 monthly in summer and between £100 and £160 monthly in winter, with added diesel costs for heating.

For Ben, choosing caravan life stems from the love of its simplicity and freedom, not necessarily the cost savings. As a content creator and mobile hairdresser, he appreciates being surrounded by nature and having his own distinct space. His childhood dream of joining the Gypsies in their caravans has, in a sense, come to fruition.

While this lifestyle suits Ben perfectly, he recognizes it's not for everyone, particularly due to drawbacks like managing a self-contained toilet and an irregular water supply. Despite these challenges, he cherishes the tranquility and simplicity of his caravan home, noting that any sense of detachment from urban stress helps him connect deeply with his thoughts and self.
