5 tips for putting your puppy to sleep to give both of you a restful night

Many dog owners have gone through a period when their puppy slept in bed with them and then it became a "bad" habit. Of course, in such cases, the questions are where should the dog sleep and how to organize the right sleep schedule for it.

• A sleeping place for a dog is important for a good night's rest. Therefore, those who are just starting to accustom the animal to it should make sure that the puppy is warm and comfortable there.

• Be patient. If your dog has never slept in a crate, it will take some time to get it used to the new place.
• If the puppy is too active in the evening, it will be difficult to put it to sleep. Thus, you need to take care in advance of appropriate physical activity before bedtime. An evening walk with your dog is a great way to ensure a good night's sleep for both of you.
• Feed your puppy at the same time in the evening and then go outside after 15-20 minutes to help it realize the ritual of ending the day, followed by sleep.
• Do not expect a quick result. It will take 5-7 days for the puppy to get used to its place and stop climbing into bed with you.
