The guru of television fashion revealed the rule of three pairs of shoes for tourists
The TV fashion guru has shared the shoe rule he consistently follows when traveling and explained why taking flip flops is not advisable.
Tan France, a star of Queer Eye, has devised a practical strategy for bringing all the necessary shoes on vacation without overwhelming the suitcase, as reported by WSTale.com.
His rule involves three pairs of shoes: one is worn immediately for the journey, and the other two are packed in his hand luggage. To maximize space, he suggests wearing the heaviest pair and placing the lighter ones in the bag.
However, he also recommends carrying something comfortable for changing shoes once on the plane or train.
"I always have a pair of lightweight slippers in my backpack or bag that I change into as soon as I get on the plane," Tan said.
In his carry-on bag, Tan carries two additional pairs of shoes for the duration of his vacation. One of them is "lightweight sneakers perfect for all-day city walks."
Nevertheless, Tan advises against bringing flip-flops. He suggests replacing them with leather sandals for both aesthetic and practical reasons, as they are easy to clean and always look impressive.
