Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) troopers intervened to rescue several chickens that fell from a truck. These chickens were stranded on a busy highway.
According to OHP's social media update, a truck towing a makeshift trailer lost chickens over about a mile along both directions of Interstate 44 in Tulsa.
"Trooper Carlos Zavala #343 observed a woman attempting to herd a chicken toward the concrete barrier. He then stepped in to assist her," the post revealed.
Zavala successfully wrangled the chicken, and the rescue operation included the remaining birds.
"Sometimes even the chicken needs help crossing the road," OHP humorously added.
