Dog Rescued from Roof in Massachusetts
A dog in Massachusetts named Rocky was rescued after he climbed out of a window and ended up stranded on his owner's roof. Yuliana, Rocky's owner, was at work when her mother called with the news. She reported that Rocky managed to push an ajar window open, giving him access to the roof.
According to Yuliana, her mother received a call from a nearby school, alerting them about Rocky's predicament. The school contacted the police regarding the situation. Animal Control Officer Anthony Masiello, along with a concerned neighbor, climbed the fire escape to reach Rocky and ensure his safety on the roof.
When Yuliana arrived home, she had to remove an air conditioner from a second-story window. This allowed Officer Masiello to safely bring Rocky back inside. "We managed to get the dog through the window to a safe position," Masiello stated. "It was just an accidental thing — the dog wanted to go out for a walk."
Yuliana expressed her gratitude for the help they received. She remarked, "He has a mind of his own. I'm like, the window was slightly open and he came out. Thank God we have really good people here in Revere to help us out with our dog."
A similar incident took place last month in California, where the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District had to rescue a dog wandering on a neighbor's roof. Firefighters safely escorted the dog inside just as its owners arrived.
