Italian Woman Sets Record for Largest Tongue Circumference
An Italian woman, Ambra Collina, achieved a Guinness World Record for her exceptionally large tongue. Her tongue's circumference surpassed that of a ping pong ball, highlighting her unique trait.
At 37 years old, Collina decided to pursue this record after encountering images of Dante Barnes. He previously held the male version of the largest tongue circumference.
Collina's tongue underwent three measurements by a medical professional. The average circumference was determined to be 5.44 inches, which became the official record.
This achievement enabled her to take the female title from Jenny DuVander, a resident of Oregon. DuVander had held the record earlier this year with a measurement of 5.21 inches.
In the male category, the record is currently held by Belgian Sacha Feiner. His tongue measures an impressive 6.69 inches in circumference.
