User gREGER2K revealed that adjustments to his headphone volume occurred while cooking on an induction stovetop. He noted that the touch controls of his Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones reacted to the magnetic field emitted by the stove. "When cooking on my induction stovetop while wearing my Sony WH-1000XM4s, the touch controls react. They change volume and allow me to pause or play music," he stated.

While this might be annoying for some users, many Redditors found humor in the situation. They all wondered if the headphones could control the stove, with one person joking, "I'd be concerned if your headphones change the temperature." Another added, "I'd be more worried if the stove control made the headphones hotter." Several users sought clarity on why this interaction happened initially.

Tech-savvy individuals explained that the interactions are related to the magnetic fields generated by both the headphones and the stove. "That looks to be an induction cooktop," one user explained.
