Moose Rescued from Pool in New Hampshire
In New Hampshire, firefighters and police responded to a unique emergency. A resident discovered a moose swimming in their backyard pool. City officials confirmed the unusual event occurred Thursday morning on Riddle Drive.
Bedford Police Chief Daniel Douidi reported that first responders arrived at the scene to find an adult moose covered by the pool's protective tarp. They quickly removed the tarp to assist the animal. Thankfully, the moose exited the pool on its own and left the area. No further action was necessary.
Douidi praised the resident for not attempting to intervene directly. He emphasized, "Moose can be very dangerous animals due to their size." He expressed gratitude that residents chose to call for assistance, leading to a safe resolution. Douidi also noted, "We're pleased that no people or animals were harmed in this incident."
