Mother of Three Leaves 15-Year Marriage for Egyptian Lover

Julia Clark, a mother-of-three from Lincoln, abandoned her stale 15-year marriage to Peter, inspired by her romantic encounter with Ahmed, a hotel worker in Egypt. Despite an initially perfect start, Julia noticed cracks as Ahmed became distant, refusing public affection and often disappearing at night. These actions worsened Julia's preexisting anxiety.

During her two-month return visit to England, Julia hoped to rekindle their relationship. But shortly after she returned to Egypt in February 2022, Ahmed shattered her hopes by revealing his intention to marry an Egyptian woman to have children—a notion he had initially dismissed.

Julia recounted feeling utterly broken by his revelation, questioning her decision to leave Peter, whom she described as a good man, for Ahmed. Despite their relationship discussions about second wives, Ahmed's claim under Islamic marital laws about taking multiple wives became a heartbreaking reality for Julia.
