Holidaymaker Stunned by Prices in Local Turkish Store
When planning a vacation, visiting a supermarket usually ranks low on your to-do list. However, if you want to prepare your own meals while traveling, a quick supermarket stop becomes essential. This trip can also lead to notable savings. This is prepared by SSP.
Kylie, who shares budget travel tips online under the username @englandandeverywhere on TikTok, recently visited a Migros supermarket in Marmaris, Turkey. She documented her experience in a video and expressed her satisfaction with the low prices.
Kylie bought snacks for breakfast and lunch, claiming they lasted about six days. Although she needed to return for additional beverages, her original haul kept her nourished nearly the entire week.
In her video, she recounted her purchases: "I spent 382L (£8.58). A five-litre bottle of water cost me about £1. Two cherry juices were 7.50L each, roughly 20p. I also grabbed four mini Pepsis that totaled 74L." She paid about 40p for five apples and around £1.46 for mini croissants. Additionally, she found a Turkish version of Pot Noodle priced at just 33p.
Kylie also bought sesame seed crackers for 22p, with flavored tea costing £1.80, which she categorized as a treat. She chose a small box of regular tea bags for £1.01 and embraced the splurge. "You can’t beat a good cuppa," she noted, adding that any unused tea would be perfect to take home.
Breaking down her total spending revealed she had spent just £1.80 a day on snacks, totaling under £10—a fantastic find indeed. Many viewers echoed her enthusiasm in the comments, sharing their own experiences at Migros.
One commenter expressed excitement: "Hoping to find a Migros when I go next week. My older daughter wants me to bring back snacks." Another commented, "Only Migros or Bim when I’m there." A third fan stated, "I love Migros cheese-filled pastries and milkshakes. I always shop there during my holidays."
