Kent County Woman Wins $264,963 Online Lottery Jackpot by Trusting Gut Feeling
A Kent County woman credited a "strong feeling" for her substantial $264,963 win from the Michigan Lottery’s Michigan Jackpot online instant game, UPI reported. The 60-year-old woman, wishing to remain anonymous, shared that she occasionally enjoys playing games on the Michigan Lottery app.
"That night, I had an intense feeling that I should try the Michigan Jackpot game. I decided to go for it and, after purchasing a few tickets, I hit the jackpot! The moment I won, I was incredibly anxious and thought the prize might have been a mistake or simply vanished," she told Michigan Lottery officials. "I went to bed and by morning, the first thing I did was check my lottery account – seeing the prize still there, I immediately shared the exciting news with my husband."
She joyfully accepted her impressive prize at the Lottery headquarters in Lansing and plans to use her winnings to invest in her business and support her family. "I'm elated and grateful for this win. I truly believe in paying it forward," she expressed.
The latest notable winners include the Breakfast Club lottery club, which claimed a $842 million Mega Millions jackpot in June 2024, intending to buy a Florida home and travel. Lottery players must check their tickets promptly. For instance, a Mega Millions $1 million ticket sold in Southfield in 2023 went unclaimed, with the prize money redirected to the state’s School Aid Fund.
