Maryland Woman Wins Lottery, Following Daughter's Big Win

A Maryland woman won a $50,000 lottery prize, three years following her daughter's $100,000 win.
This lucky winner, 75, from Baltimore, shared her story with Maryland Lottery officials. She purchased several Ca$h Plu$ scratch-off tickets from Bermuda Bar & Liquor in Baltimore. Her luck started early with a $50 winning ticket.
However, the excitement peaked when the last ticket in her batch revealed a $50,000 prize. One of her first calls was to her daughter, who lives with her.
"She was like, 'Mom, stop lying,'" the winner recalled. The daughter found it hard to believe lightning could strike twice in the same household, especially since she won $100,000 in 2021.
Now, the winner is exploring possibilities for spending her prize money.
